Swivel Joints
ATN swivel joints are ball track controlled swivel elements with a medium channel, in order to ensure safe transport of liquids and gases. ATN swivel joints feature either 1 or 2 ball tracks, enabling swivel movements such as for example a 360° rotation without any problems, despite simultaneous external loading through force and torque.
ATN swivel joints are standardly produced in carbon steel (1.0577, AISI 4140), stainless steel (AISI 316L), and also aluminum (AW-5083). Further stainless steels (AISI 304, AISI 316Ti) and materials such as Duplex, Super Duplex and Hastelloy are available on request at all time. All ATN swivel joints up to a nominal width of DN1200 (48″) are manufactured completely at our plant in Herdecke, Germany.
Axial PTFE groove seal rings which are energized with stainless steel springs are used as process seals. In special applications (e.g. FDA, EG, ADI in the field of food and hygiene) particular compounds are used.
All seals are extremely easy to replace, and available from stock as a seal kit. All swivel joints are provided with the appropriate lubricating grease according to the operating conditions (H1 / FDA in the food and pharmaceutical industry). For abrasive media, internal scraper are installed to protect the process seal and if ATN swivel joints have to work in the medium special external seals are used.
The modular principle and 8 basic construction shapes mean that all spatial movements and connection parameters are possible without problems.
